Hello... please see the below information on next year's International Lennon Family reunion.

(This information is being posted on behalf of Sarah Jo Hamilton, Christine Mullard and Hugh Murphy).
          ***************************************************************

Some have responded with interest and others not, hopefully the following information will help you decide. Hugh Murphy has been working hard and this is the proposal, if you have any questions feel free to contact Sarah Jo, Hugh or [Christine], preferably copying in the three of us so we are all aware.

It will be lovely to reconnect and hope that these proposals will appeal to family members. I think Hugh has done a brilliant job.

Christine has a database of all those interested in the event, if we can tempt more to join us please let me know. Please confirm your interest, in light of the additional information, asap.
(To confirm interest please email: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected])

The Venue has provisionally been booked for July 21-24, 2023 at The Grand Hotel Malahide (www.thegrand.ie).

The Venue is approximately 5 miles from Dublin Airport, and 9 miles from City Centre Dublin, situated overlooking Malahide Estuary. The town is one of the most affluent in Ireland, and has a beach, Marina etc.

There is a compact but intimate town center of a couple of shopping streets with boutiques, some 32 restaurants (Gourmet Capital of Dublin), many bars the best being Fowlers, Duffys, and Gibneys (an institution for the craic!). The center is only some 300 yards away.

Also, within 10 minutes walk is the ‘Dart’ railway giving access to Central Dublin, the service runs every 15 minutes. The cost of a single fare 3.30 Euro, approx. $3.50. Within 15 minutes walk is
          Malahide Castle.

There is a little electric train (‘Toots Tours’, run by a fellow named Michael), which is an alternative to walking.

Hugh has come up with an Agenda for the weekend with a good blend of History, Geneaology, romance of Ireland, and has tried to build in a little free time! Nothing planned is that far from the Hotel. The Agenda he has planned is American centric, including some top experiences folks from the USA like to do.

Additionally, an agenda, costs, and General information, are included below. Further information will be sent as an email to all through the Camp-Base.

This information via email will include:
          - Financial arrangements – Rooms
          - Financial arrangements – Saturday & Sunday meals and Conference
          Room
          - Activity Agenda
          - Background information and maps

Hugh has travelled to the Hotel, and attractions and hopes the proposed package wets the appetite. If there is demand for alternative trips etc., he is happy to organize mini buses for transportation. Also, while we hope everybody stays at the Hotel, if you find it suits you better to stay in a large apartment instead, and just attend the weekend functions then that is fine, but please make those arrangements on your own if necessary.

          **************************************************************
